The 2009 Ahwatukee Holidays light display will feature several new elements, and some of those include some brand new 2′ rope light stars that will be gracing the house.

Below is a PDF file that shows the details of how the star is made.

Materials List:
1 10′ length of 1/4″ steel rod.
1 7′ 6″ length of 3/8″ rope light.
1 can matt black spray paint.

The idea behind the star, was to make the ropelight section fit the cut segments of the ropelight (18″) so that it would fit properly on the star, and also use a single 10′ length of steel for its construction, minimizing waste.
