After six wonderful years doing the Ahwatukee Holidays display, it has now come time for changes. 2011 will end up being the last year for the AhwatukeeHolidays display as it has currently been.

I want to personally thank everyone who has come by and enjoyed the lights and supported the display and charities over the years!

What will 2012 bring? We’ll – I’m not 100% sure yet, but, I”ll be able to think of something!! Right now the first plan is to participate in either (or both) the APS Electric Light parade, or the Tempe light parade. Maybe during the year some additional options will open up – Phoenix Zoo perhaps?

Another big thanks to all of the new stations that have come out over the years with KPHO-TV and Paul Horton (especially with the CNN bit in 2009) and ABC15 Arizona, Ahwatukee Foothills News and Phoenix New Times for their wonderful articles this year.

We can also never forget 3TV Phoenix as they have been out twice over the past six years, including being the first station to come out in 2004.

I will greatly miss doing the display and bringing the Christmas cheer to many people and their families, but, hopefully in a few years the ligths will resume in a new place and location!

Thanks for all your support over the past six wonderful years.
Frank

We are one of the largest private displays in Arizona, and in the world, and for 2011 we will be featuring over 150,000 lights, and 700 channels of lighting animation!

Stop by and visit us! We should be out most weekend nights until Christmas, and we’ll keep the fire going strong to keep everyone warm. ** CLICK HERE FOR A MAP AND THE ADDRESS **

Some new features for 2011 – we will now be about 90% LED lights!!!!! This year makes the biggest conversion year to date, with a significant amount of time (and investment) put into the display to make this energy efficient change. With the change, the mega tree will be goign even taller!!! Should top out at about 65 FEET to the light at the top. Of course, new songs again this year, with some more fun and effects added in!

Charity Work
With the “title charity” being the American Diabetes Association, there are also other charities that are supported throughout the year!
